Every baby is a godsend, a precious package of everything innocent and wonderful about love, life and family. I, Melisa Kam, together with my husband, David, felt that such precious moment in time, however transient, was something that we wished to last forever. But unfortunately, children do grow up, as much as we try to keep them always our babies.

Thinking beyond traditional photographs, portraits and home videos, we wanted a special way of preserving every fine curve, line, dimple of a baby's delicate hands and fingers. And it was only through our many travels around the world, that in New Zealand, we found the perfect means to keep little precious mementos of our babies.

When we first saw that tiny cast of a baby's hand, with every detail from the cuticle of her fingers, to the tiny wrinkles on her toes, we knew we had to get one done for my then four months old baby, Nicolette. It was such a fun and wonderful experience, that my husband and I too decided to get one set done for ourselves.

It is very heartwarming to know that my now 3 year old Nicolette, can look at her own hands and feet when she was four months old. It brings even more warmth to my heart to look forward to a time when Nicolette is a mother herself, and will be able to share with her baby, these intricately detailed moments…frozen time, and for many more generations to come.
